Day 14 - suffering

My life is not perfect but it is.  There is a balance to the Christian life in allowing people to see your suffering and your struggle with your affliction.  I feel like on one hand I put up a pretty nice facade that everything is fine in our life, but this is a. exhausting and b. empty.  That said, my life is a blessing, even the hardships, but I have to navigate the waters carefully, to let others know that those trials are there, but that I know they have a purpose and that God is using me or preparing me through them.  I hope that God prunes me in ways that I can lovingly and gracefully share with others when they are going through similar trials, but that I don't allow this to turn into complaining or attention seeking.

2 Corinthians 1: 3-7

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.  For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. Our hope for you is unshaken, for we know that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in our comfort.
